About Visual Closure

Visual Closure is a cognitive stimulation exercise adapted from the Visual Closure pack in the worksheet library. A picture is shown with part of it missing, and the job is to recognize what it is and pick the complete picture from four choices. The wrong answers are other things of the same kind, four cups or four fish, so the fragment has to be read rather than guessed from the category. Figures mode uses abstract forms, as in the pack's hardest level.

The screen adds what paper can't: the amount of the picture that is visible is a dial, from 80 percent down to 20, and in progressive reveal the fragment fills in a little every two seconds until the person answers, so the result is how much of the picture they needed. Each answer is timed, and the missing parts fill in on screen after every choice. Near-miss mode offers the same picture mirrored or turned as a wrong answer. Large print, thicker lines, and high contrast are always free.

It is built for occupational therapists, caregivers, and anyone practicing visual perception and recognition, and it runs in any browser with no setup. Visual Closure is a practice and cognitive stimulation tool, not a standardized assessment, and no patient information is collected or stored.
